Requirements:
• Five years clinical experience with at least three years experience in epilepsy monitoring and two years of related supervisory experience.
• Two years of teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate on a professional level with physicians, nurses and other ancillary professional staff when discussing clinical neurophysiologic technology and related areas.
• Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with public, patients, physicians and other medical center staff.
• Must have sound independent judgment and initiative.
• Good leadership, organizational and teaching skills.
• Advanced knowledge of EEG, epilepsy monitoring and associated procedures, including continuous video-EEG of all types, electrocorticography, brain mapping with cortical stimulation, ambulatory EEG and Wada EEG monitoring.
• Extensive knowledge of evoked potentials (routine and intraoperative) and electromyography.
• Completion of a formal allied health program in electroneurodiagnostic technology accredited by the commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs preferred.
• In absence of training in an accredited program, formal training in an established allied health program consisting of at least 18 months duration preferred.
• Two years of college in the biological sciences or its equivalent desirable.
• Completion of a four-year degree in a related field preferred.
• Registration credentials in R.EEGT or R.EEG/EPT.
• Registration in other modalities of clinical neurophysiology strongly preferred.
• Current certification in CPR required.
